Infectious Diseases

Infectious diseases are the branch of science dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases developing with microorganisms.

In the Global World, global warming and increasing travel frequency, that is, viral diseases with emerging and epidemic potential, resistant bacteria keep infectious diseases on the agenda.

Depending on these developing processes, measures to be taken for the control and prevention of infections have become very important.

In our department

Diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases such as viral hepatitis, meningitis, diarrhoea, viral haemorrhagic fevers, influenza rash diseases can be performed in outpatient and inpatient settings.

In our hospital, the Infection Control Committee for the prevention and protection of hospital infections is active.

Adult vaccinations, travel infections prophylaxis and counselling services, diagnosis, treatment prophylaxis, screening tests and counselling services of sexually transmitted diseases are within the scope of the studies.
